Sambalpur Football Academy beat AJO High School (Phulbani) 5-3 in the final, via penalty shoot out to emerge champions in the State Level Under-14 School Football Championship here at Satyabrata Stadium today. Tie-break rule was applied after play in the regulation time ended in goalless draw.
Earlier in the semifinals, Sambalpur Football Academy thrashed Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) of Bhubaneswar 5-0, while AJO High School beat Bhakta Madhu Vidyapitha of Cuttack 3-0 in tie-breaker.
State champions Sambalpur Football Academy qualified to represent Odisha in the Subroto Mukherjee Cup All-India School Football Tournament to be held at New Delhi from November 1 to 30.
